We have three workshops planned prior to Sun-earth day to alert our educators to possible activities as well as become familiar with the materials in the kit.

A workshop for K-4 Teachers will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2005 at 3:30 p.m

A workshop for 5-8 Teachers will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2005 at 3:30 p.m.

A workshop for 9-12 Teachers will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2005 at 3:30 p.m.

Florida, Boynton Beach- Solar Eclipse - Darkness Falls!

Activities for the Sun-Moon-Earth geometry that produces the hybrid solar eclipse on Friday, April 8, 2005, including safe solar observing, and current NASA research on the Sun and solar evolution. Expected Outcomes: Understand the relationships between events on Earth and the movements of the Earth, its moon, and the sun. (SC.E.1.4.1) Knows that the stages in the development of three categories of stars are based on mass. (SC.E.2.4.1)
