Ms. Rachamadugu is an electrical engineer working on designing, building, and testing advanced nano-electronics and MEMS systems for spaceflight applications. At NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Ms. Rachamadugu has been a key contributor to the development of MEMS-based Next-Generation MicroShutter Arrays (NGMSA), supporting the fabrication, integration, and testing of devices critical to multi-object spectrometers used in space environments, specifically geared towards the Habitable Worlds Observatory and Far Off-Rowland Telescope Imaging Spectroscopy (FORTIS) missions. Ms. Rachamadugu is also supporting the development of MiniEPMA, a compact electron probe microanalyzer designed for in-situ elemental analysis of planetary materials, by supporting characterization of Carbon Nanotube based compact electron source, and design of the actuating electronics.
Previously at Intel, Ms. Rachamadugu worked on emerging technologies, performing device-level characterization and experimental analysis to guide material selection and architectural improvements. Prior to Intel, Ms. Rachamadugu worked with semiconductor process development and instrumentation for condensed matter physics research in graphene systems at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai.
Ms. Rachamadugu holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor’s degree from BITS Pilani, Goa campus. Her fields of expertise include semiconductor process integration, PCB design, MEMS fabrication, data acquisition systems, and hardware-software interfacing.
