GOES-16 Field Campaign

The 2017 NOAA-sponsored ER-2 aircraft mission flew the R&D-supported Cloud Radar System, ER-2 X-Band Radar, GEO-CAPE Airborne Simulator, and the Cloud Physics Lidar. The suite of instruments was validating GOES-R, the next generation of geostationary weather satellites.
